Brasil Game Show (BGS) was on October 9th – 13th and it couldn’t be better!
Gravity Heroes set a stand at the Indie Avenue where many indie games were displayed to the public. This was the first time we showed a playable demo of the game to gamers, journalists and enthusiasts. We’ve received a lot of feedback and we are taking everything into consideration to continue development and deliver the best possible product. Here’s a video of this version:
In this version of Gravity Heroes, it’s possible to play in the first scenario, the “Abandoned Warehouse”, with three different levels. The first introductory level there is only two different enemies the Bomb Ball (or simply B-Ball) and the War Beetle, both were present at the first prototype of the game. The next level we introduce to the player the Bolt Patrol, and finally, in the last level, we’ve introduced the boss King Beetle and his minion: Black B-Ball.
Also, we’ve created a simple tutorial that will be completely redesigned for the final version. The tutorial showed very useful as the gravity mechanic can be very confusing at first but it gets better as the player gets used to move the player on the ceiling and the walls and then finally challenge his friends to a competitive battle to see who is better on changing gravity.
One of the best surprises we’ve had is the recognition we received from people, some of them loved it and was very supportive, but what we didn’t expect was winning some awards and achievements.
